So you've identified the elements of your
website and now you're ready to talk to a designer?
Many of you are new to the process of
professional website design and development. Whether you need a new
site or whether you seek a more professional service provider,
Sandaleo can offer you cutting edge expertise in a personal setting.
We do this by using a proven process to execute all our website
projects successfully.
Our design process is geared to systematically and methodically
execute web development projects of varying scopes. Smaller sites
will generally not undergo every element of this process.

1. Contact
When you contact us for the first time, we will try to assess your
needs, identify your target audience and analyze your market. We
will outline the project's
development requirements and determine a solution to fit your
budget in a proposal. Once our contract is signed and the deposit is
received, the Definition phase begins.
2. Definition
We begin assessing all the information we have gathered from you,
which includes your
Website Plan, domain name
information and website materials. Our design team will conduct additional research
on best practices, design trends, competition, and
marketing. We'll then prepare a Website Specification
document which will be a written representation of the website.
3.
Design
Once we have a genuine understanding of your
needs and your vision, we present you with designs to chose from, or
we work with you to come up with a specific design. A design would
include colors and images, tentative text layout, branding/identity, look and
feel, content architecture, and functionality.
4. Development
We will program and design all aspects of the website. As a Sandaleo customer, you
will receive weekly status reports and periodic updates on your
website's development. You will receive hands-on demonstrations of
the features and the interface. We will complete most of the work on
the product during this phase.
5. Testing
We protect your investment by providing you with a stable product.
We test the website on all major web platforms and browsers to assure that your site is
working properly. We give you an opportunity to go through the site
with your testing group and give feedback. We make sure everything
clicks properly.
6. Launch
Once the site is final, the domain name is in hand and hosting
arrangements are in place, the product can be launched for public
access. The files will be placed on the hosting server, the website
will be tested again and the domain name will be pointed to the
hosting server.
